James Kim is April’s employee spotlight! James has been with CTN since July 2022 working as a Technology Strategy Consultant!

• Before working at CTN, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

Trading cotton futures and options before they went electronic at the New York Board of Trade.  Most of the trading pits in the country have been replaced by electronic trading so it was an interesting experience to be part of the last group to do it live at that exchange.

• What are 3 words to describe CTN?

Excellence, Knowledgeable, Dependable

• Why did you choose to work in the industry you’re in (marketing, IT, etc)?

I’ve always been security minded.  Growing up in New York City when it was crime ridden probably has something to do with that. I wanted to work at a company with a strong cybersecurity focus like CTN.

• Who would play you in a movie about your life?

Gordon Liu, I watched all his kung fu movies when I was a kid.

• What is your favorite pizza topping?

Pepperoni and sausage

• iPhone or Android?

iPhone, but to be fair I’ve never owned an Android phone.

• What is your favorite meal: Breakfast, lunch, or dinner? Favorite dish?

A guilty pleasure is McDonald’s breakfast, although I don’t do it often.

• If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

Being able to speak every language. I could communicate with the world.

• Tell two truths and a lie about yourself.

I speak 5 languages, I play 5 instruments, I studied martial arts for over 10 years.

• What is your favorite restaurant in Philadelphia?

I love Philly Cheesesteaks and try to get one whenever I’m there.  No particular favorite, I’ve tried them from different places and they were all great.
